When AgroYield onboards lender partners, you control whether your AgroScore gets shared with them — per partner, opt-in, revocable any time.
This page explains exactly what's shared, what isn't, and how the controls work.
Where to manage it
Settings → Lender data sharing, or directly at /business/settings/lender-sharing. Owner-only — accountants and staff team members can't change consent settings.
You'll see a list of every active or pilot partner lender. Each row shows:
- Partner name + status (Active, Pilot, or Paused)
- The contact person at the partner organisation
- Eligibility filters they've configured (which sectors / states they serve)
- A toggle to grant or revoke your consent
- Audit info — when you granted or revoked sharing, with the date
If no partners are enrolled yet, you'll see an empty state explaining that the page populates as partners come online.
What gets shared (when consent is granted)
For each partner you've explicitly opted in to:
- Your AgroScore — the 0–1000 number and band (Excellent / Good / Fair / Building)
- Per-signal contributions — invoice volume + cadence, collection rate, tenure, expense discipline, sector volatility, and the points each contributed
- Business name and sector — necessary to identify the borrower; without these the score is meaningless to the partner
That's the full extent. Nothing else.
What is NOT shared
Even when consent is granted:
- Your customer details — names, contact info, payment history per customer
- Individual invoice contents — line items, amounts, customers, dates, descriptions
- Expense line items — what you spent on, where, and to whom
- Banking details — account numbers, BVN, transaction history
- Employee or HR data — staff names, salaries, NoK, guarantors, statutory IDs
- Owner personal info — your phone, email, NIN, date of birth
- Communications — chats, mentor sessions, community posts
Partner lenders see a credit score and the inputs that produced it. They never see the underlying transactions.
Revoking consent
Tap the toggle off any time. Revocation is immediate — the next time the partner queries our API for your data, they get a "consent revoked" response. We don't push retroactive deletion of scores they've already pulled (those are their records of their decisions), but they can't pull new ones.
Revoked consents stay in your audit log so you can see the history.
Granting consent on a paused partner
You can't. If a partner is paused or inactive, the toggle is disabled and shows an explanation. Revoking consent for an existing paused partner is always allowed (cleanup).
What happens if AgroYield onboards a new partner?
The new partner appears on the page as Active or Pilot. Your consent is off by default — we never auto-share with new partners. You're free to read about them and decide if you want to consent.
If a partner you've previously granted consent to gets paused (e.g. they exit the market or pause their pilot), your consent stays "granted" in our records but the partner can't pull data while paused. Resuming the partner reactivates the existing consent automatically.
Partner profiles and your score
Some partners use the platform-default AgroScore weights; others have their own scoring profile (e.g. a microfinance lender that weights collection rate higher than tenure). When you grant consent, the partner uses their own profile to compute the score they see.
Your AgroScore on YOUR dashboard always uses the platform default. The partner's view may differ slightly because their weights differ — that's normal, and the difference is auditable. We can always tell you which weight set produced any score they saw.
Why we built it this way
Consent is the foundation of any lending data product. We chose:
- Opt-in per partner, not blanket — you decide each relationship
- Revocable any time, not "until contract end" — your data, your call
- Score-only, never raw transactions — the score is the product, not your invoice book
- Transparent audit — when, what, and to whom is always visible to you
If a future partner asks for raw transactions or wants opt-out instead of opt-in, the answer is no — the model doesn't bend for any one partner.
Frequently asked
Will granting consent affect my score? No. Sharing is read-only on the partner's side. Your score is computed from your own AgroYield activity regardless of who's looking at it.
Can I see what a specific partner saw on a specific date? Yes. Each partner query is logged. Email support@agroyield.africa with the partner name and date range and we'll send you the access record.
What about Open Banking or Mono integrations? Not in scope here. This page is only about AgroYield's AgroScore + your business activity on AgroYield. Third-party financial-data integrations would be a separate consent flow with their own controls.
I granted consent but the partner says they can't see me. Why? Two common reasons: (1) you're outside the partner's eligibility filters (wrong sector or state — see their row on the page for what they serve), or (2) the partner hasn't queried recently. Pulls happen on the partner's schedule, not ours.
