The Grants tracker is a curated database of agricultural grants and funding opportunities relevant to Nigerian agribusiness. It's manually moderated and updated daily.
What's in it
Each grant listing has:
- Title + funder (e.g., AfDB, World Bank, Gates Foundation, FMARD, Ministry of Agriculture, state-level agencies)
- Amount range (in USD or NGN, both shown when available)
- Eligibility criteria — who can apply (small-holder farmers, cooperatives, agritech startups, NGOs, etc.)
- Sector tags (crop production, livestock, processing, market access, climate, gender, youth)
- Geographic scope (national, regional, multi-country)
- Application deadline — and a status indicator (Open, Closing soon, Closed)
- Application link to the funder's official portal
How "For You" tab works
The default Grants page shows two tabs: For You and Latest.
For You ranks grants by relevance to your profile, using:
- Your declared sector interests (set during onboarding, editable in your profile)
- Your geographic location (state-level)
- Your business type (farm, agritech, NGO, etc.)
- Your historical engagement — grants you've clicked on, saved, or applied to
The ranking is heuristic, not ML — it's transparent enough that you can roughly predict why a specific grant ranks where it does. If you find yourself filtering For-You results often, update your profile to refine the inputs.
Latest is reverse-chronological by listing date, no personalization.
Saving + tracking grants
Click the bookmark icon on any grant card to save it to My grants. Saved grants get deadline reminders 7 days, 3 days, and on-the-day before the deadline (email + in-app notification).
You can also mark a grant as Applied — this doesn't link to the funder's portal in any way, it's just for your own tracking. Applied grants stay in your dashboard until you mark them Awarded, Rejected, or Withdrawn.
Reporting issues with a listing
If a grant deadline has passed but the listing still shows Open, or you find the eligibility description inaccurate, click Report this listing on the grant card. The moderation team gets a notification and usually corrects within 24 hours.
How to request new sources
Email partners@agroyield.africa with a link to the funder's announcement page. We add new grants several times a week — well-tagged listings from credible funders move through fastest.
