The verified badge on AgroYield Network signals to buyers, lenders, and partners that we've reviewed your business's incorporation documents and confirmed you're a properly registered Nigerian company. Verified businesses appear higher in search results, qualify for higher-tier marketplace privileges, and are visible in the lender-data-sharing pool when you opt in.
What you need to upload
Three documents from your CAC (Corporate Affairs Commission) filing — all three are required to earn the badge.
- Certificate of Incorporation — the one-page document CAC issues confirming your company exists, with your RC number.
- Memorandum & Articles of Association (MEMART) — the multi-page document setting out what your business does and the share structure. Newer filings use the MEMART acronym; older filings might be labelled "Memorandum and Articles".
- CAC Status Report — a recent (within the last 90 days) report from CAC confirming your business is in good standing, with current directors and shareholders.
You can upload PDF, PNG, or JPEG. Each file is capped at 10 MB.
How to upload
- Go to Business → Setup
- Scroll to the Verification documents section
- Click the upload button under each of the three doc types
- Select the file from your device
- Wait for the green tick — the file is now in our private storage
You can re-upload any document at any time before it's approved. After approval, the row locks; if you need to update an approved document, contact support and we'll re-open it.
What admins look for
The AgroYield admin team reviews each document in turn. We check:
- The document is genuine and unaltered (we cross-reference against CAC's public business search)
- The business name on the document matches the business name on your AgroYield profile
- The Status Report is recent (within 90 days of upload date)
- The MEMART includes the share-allocation table and is signed
- The directors named match the people associated with your AgroYield account
Reviews happen during business hours (9am–5pm WAT, Mon–Fri). Most reviews complete within 24 hours of upload. Each document can be approved or rejected independently — you'll receive an email for each decision.
When all three are approved
The moment the third document is approved, your business automatically earns the verified badge — the green ✓ that appears next to your business name on your public page (/b/your-slug), in directory listings, in marketplace search results, in mentor profiles, and anywhere else your business name appears across the platform.
You'll also receive a confirmation email letting you know the badge is live.
If a document is rejected
You'll receive an email with the rejection reason. Common reasons:
- Image too blurry to read — re-take the photo with better lighting, or scan to PDF instead
- Document has expired (Status Report only) — request a fresh one from CAC and re-upload
- Wrong document type uploaded — make sure each document is in the correct slot
- Business name mismatch — your AgroYield business name needs to match the CAC filing exactly. Edit your profile name first if needed.
Re-upload from the same Verification documents section. Each re-upload restarts the review.
Privacy of your documents
Your CAC documents contain personal data (director names, addresses, share holdings). They're stored in private cloud storage with admin-only access. The verified badge displayed publicly never includes any document contents — only the badge itself. We don't share documents with lenders or marketplace partners. If you delete your AgroYield account, all uploaded documents are deleted within 30 days as part of standard account closure.
